A message from our volunteer coordinator: a big thank you to our incredible volunteers!
As the year is coming to an end – we just wanted to highlight the amazing work of our volunteers one more time!
Our incredible volunteers have contributed over 600 hours of their time to supporting the work we do! This includes responding to Advice Service cases, coming along to community engagement events, helping us to deliver training to Community Councils and Elected Members, and more.
This year, we have had volunteers as far North as Gairloch, as far South as Eskdalemuir, and all over Scotland in between.
We also have over 190 hours of training recorded from our volunteers and members of the Planning Aid Scotland Network coming along to the various training events we have run this year. We are busy planning some sessions for the new year, if you have any suggestions of topics, please let us know.
For all of our volunteers – we would love to hear more about your experience of volunteering with us. We put out a link to a Volunteer Census in our last email and would really appreciate it if you could fill this in!
For anyone who isn’t a volunteer yet – we would love to hear from you if you are interested in volunteering with us – especially if you are a chartered or retired planner and would be interested in helping with our Advice Service!
