Free training on energy consents for communities in Angus and Aberdeenshire

Planning Aid Scotland is delivering training for communities across Angus and Aberdeenshire on understanding energy consents.

The training session will run twice, as both a lunchtime and an evening session – register for whichever is most convenient:

These events are free to attend, and are being delivered on behalf of Angus Council and Aberdeenshire Council. The events are open to any residents in these local authority areas.

What you’ll learn:

  • The different consenting processes for energy proposals
  • What determines whether a project is considered local, major, or national How to make effective and timely representations
  • Where communities and individuals can get involved
  • Real-life examples of how planning policies apply to energy developments
