Planning Aid Scotland to collaborate with communities across Scotland

As part of the Sustaining Choices programme, Planning Aid Scotland will host a series of events to engage with local communities and gather residents’ ideas on how to make walking and wheeling safer and more accessible

These free events are a chance for residents of all ages to share their thoughts on walking/wheeling in their community, including access to key locations like shops, schools and public transport, as well as any challenges faced.

Consultation to Shape the Future of Walking in Fa’side

Residents of East Lothian are invited to have their say in improving walking/wheeling routes within the Fa’side area.

A series of consultation events will be held where local residents can share their thoughts on making walking safer and more accessible. The events will take place on the following dates:

Friday 22 November, 10.30am — 2pm, Pencaitland Connections Cafe

Monday 25 November, 5pm — 7pm, Macmerry Miners Club

Wednesday 27 November, 3pm — 5pm, Recharge Youth Centre, Tranent

Friday 29 November, 9.30am — 11.30am, The Fraser Centre, Tranent

This is your chance to help create a Local Walking Action Plan for Fa’side, focusing on improving paths, signage and access. Young people and children are encouraged to join and share their ideas too.
