How can we ensure diverse community voices are heard in Scotland’s planning system?
Our Chief Executive Cherie Morgan will be joining a panel of professionals from across planning, engagement and infrastructure delivery at Delivering Diverse Voices in Scottish Planning Decision Making, hosted by Women in Planning Central Scotland
The event will explore the importance of diversity of voice and experience, and consider the practical changes that could help make planning processes more inclusive.
Cherie will take part in a panel discussion alongside speakers from across the sector, sharing perspectives on how we can better support meaningful participation and ensure a wider range of voices are heard in decisions about places and communities.
Inclusive participation is a key strategic priority for Planning Aid Scotland. We believe people should have meaningful opportunities to engage with the planning system and help shape the places where they live.
The event takes place on Thursday 3 September 2026, from 5.30pm to 8.30 at Shoosmiths in Glasgow.
We are looking forward to contributing to this important conversation and hearing perspectives from across the sector.
