Explore career opportunities in planning, third sector and volunteer management.
- Ever wondered what a career in planning or the built environment professions would be like?
- Curious about a career working in the charity / third sector?
- Want to learn about what a Volunteer Manager does?
- Looking to gain workplace skills to help your career?
… then this might be the opportunity you’re looking for!
We’re pleased to be taking part in DYW Live and partnering with e-Sgoil and Education Scotland to offer Virtual Work Placements (VWP) for young people across Scotland.
DYW (Developing The Young Workforce) Live is an exciting partnership between employers and organisations from around Scotland. It is delivered by e-Sgoil and Education Scotland. DYW Live provides live sessions that support learners’ development of employability skills, career pathways and industry connections.
The placements will allow young people to interact with our staff team here at PAS (Planning Aid Scotland) about the work they do, their career pathways and how to give provide support and professional advice to communities. The VWP participants will get involved with and learn about workplace behaviours, how to give advice, how to design and deliver community projects and learn about volunteering and volunteer management.
The VWPs will take place over one full week, either w/c 29 May, 5 June, or 12 June 2023 – or get in touch via the email on the DYW website if you’d like to enquire about dates.
If you’re a young person or parent/guardian, find out more on the DYW website and get in touch with Fleur Dijkman fleur@pas.org.uk for more information about how to take part.
If you’re a teacher and interested for your students to take part, register your interest here.
