We are excited to announce, alongside our project partner Article 12 in Scotland, that our work received prestigious recognition at the Scottish Awards for Quality in Planning 2018 on 21 November.

PAS and Article 12 were awarded in the Partnership category for the engagement of young Gypsy/Travellers with planning and placemaking through our Heritage Lottery funded project “In the Footsteps of Geddes”.

The project took place between 2016 and 2018 and involved a variety of groups of young people across Scotland – one of them consisted of children and young people from Gypsy/Traveller sites in Edinburgh and Kinross.

We would like to thank our partners at Article 12 for their commitment to that project and hope to join forces together again to continue the important work of greater engagement between the planning profession and the Gypsy/Traveller community in Scotland, leading to a more inclusive society.
